The Archive contains material dating from the 17th century to the present day, including the foundation of the School by Kurt Hahn, its organisation and development.
This site predominantly contains:
- Photographs – in order to adhere to confidentiality and Data Protection Legislation, at the present time only photographs up to and including the 2nd World War are available for viewing by researchers. Should anyone require information concerning photographs after this date they should contact the Archivist. Other photographs are available to the school community as an educational and administrative tool. A search can be made for a person, a place, an event or a date. Where the identity/date of a photograph is not known, attempts have been made to attribute the photograph to a decade, therefore please search for 1930s, 1940s, 1950s etc.
All photographs are available to view in low resolution, however high resolution copies can be provided upon request, for which there may be a charge.
- The Gordonstoun Record – the Record from 1936 onwards is available to search on this site.
